2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid named best Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicle

2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid named best Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicle

2018 Chrysler Pacifica eight-passenger minivan has already won several shelves of awards, is an IIHS Top Safety Pick +, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest rating, as well as named the Highest Ranked Minivan in the J.D. Power in Initial Quality Survey.

The new Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid features a class-exclusive, plug-in hybrid powertrain. It's the first plug-in hybrid in the minivan segment and achieves exceptional economy in electric-only mode and can cover a substantial distance using only electric. And it's been named the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Category Winner in 2018 Canadian Green Car Awards. To achieve this result, the assessments combined objective criteria, such as fuel economy, emissions and price, with the judges' evaluations of performance, driving experience, value, features and green qualities.

Further Upgraded for the 2018 Model Year

All 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid models now feature as standard the SafetyTec Group, which includes ParkSense Rear Park Assist with Stop, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection. In addition, Chrysler has added a Touring Plus model to the Pacifica Hybrid, offering a lower price point than existing models but retaining key features like sliding doors and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Carried over from the 2017 model year are the Premium and the Platinum. The Premium offers heated leather front seats, remote start with cabin pre-conditioning, three-zone automatic temperature control, and power liftgate. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Platinum adds to the Premium model Nappa leather seats, ventilated first-row seats, heated two-tone steering wheel, and hands-free liftgate.

Not only is the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid the only minivan with a hybrid powertrain, it also offers many of the same available features offered by the standard Pacifica, including tri-pane panoramic sunroof, dual 10.1 inch HD touchscreens Uconnect Theater rear seat entertainment system, and seven-passenger seating.

State-of-the-Art Connectivity

The front row features its own Uconnect 4 infotainment system, with its 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation system, integrated voice command, along with the Surround View camera, which uses four cameras positioned around the vehicle to provide 360-degree views, including a bird's eye perspective of the vehicle and its surroundings, great for positioning the Pacifica Hybrid into tight parking spaces.

Surprisingly Economical to Operate

The 2018 Pacifica Hybrid, selected as best Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle by the panel of journalists who voted on the Green car Awards delivers a range of 53 kilometers solely on zero-emissions electric power from a 16-kWh lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery, as well as a 911 kilometers of total range using both gas and electric and an estimated 2.6 Le/100km (109 MPGe) in city driving.* The technology behind the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is its innovative eFlite single-electrically variable transmission (si-EVT) powered by two electric motors, which are both capable of driving the vehicle's wheels.

The available features covered just scratch the surface of what's available on the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.
